Introducing Structures: one of our most requested features

Trail managers have been asking for a simpler way to track bridges, boardwalks, signage, technical features, and all the critical elements that require regular maintenance.

With Sentinel 2.0, you can now:

• Create structures directly on the map, just like you do with tasks
• Keep a complete inventory of all critical assets and their location
• View images by year to review past conditions at a glance
• Customize structure types, similar to custom task types
• Combine planned maintenance with unexpected issues in a single system

Our next version, soon to be released, will add the ability to create inspection reports on each structure, and get a quick overview on the overall condition (good, bad, dangerous) of all your structures.

These features are part of our plan to help trail managers and their team stay proactive, improve user safety, and meet rising legal and insurance requirements.

Create tasks anywhere

Not every issue happens on a trail. With Sentinel 2.0, you can now create a task without linking it to a specific trail.

Use it for objects or hazards not tied to a trail, or features and points of interest you want to record.

When creating a task, you now have a unified experience and can choose to:

• Attach the task to a nearby trail
• Associate it with any trail from the list
• Or place it freely on the map

This update also improves GPS positioning and reduces duplicate task creation.

Performance and speed improvements

We know your time on the ground is valuable. Sentinel 2.0 brings major optimizations to keep everything running fast and reliably.

• Faster installation with lighter local files (trails, custom task types, etc.)
• A new section to review data installed on the phone and reinstall it when necessary
• A rebuilt synchronization system for low or unstable network conditions
• Technical improvements across the app for quicker, more stable responses
• A fix ensuring previously selected filters remain saved when returning to the app
• Adds several new icons to use when creating your custom tasks and structure types.
