Sentinel 1.6.1
Manage member access by activity
This new feature is applicable if multiple activities are available on your network.
Until now, every member had access to all the activities available on an account. This could lead to mistakes that were difficult to erase.
It is particularly true if you have different trail crews for each activity (mountain biking, hiking, nordic skiing, etc.). Sometimes, a member would wrongly create a task for “hiking” instead of “mountain biking” just because the map was previously set on “hiking”.
You can now choose who has access to which activity, and reduce these errors. Depending on the role you assign to a member, this person will be able to edit tasks and projects only for the activities you give them access to.

By default, the member has access to all activities. Simply activate the option to restrict their access to specific activities.

When creating a task, a member will be prompted the option to change the activity before going any further.
Manage task types by activity
This new feature is applicable if multiple activities are available on your network.
Sentinel provides predefined task types to choose from when creating a new task, and you can also create custom types to reflect the type of work specific to your trails.
Until now, all these types, predefined or custom, are common among all the activities available on your network. However, a “Broken Plank” issue might not be relevant for “nordic ski”, and a “Water” type might not be useful for “hiking”. Having too many options has led to errors and can also be a bit messy to deal with on the interface.
With this update, you can now assign a task type to specific activities so the type would only appear when creating a new task in the selected activities. The same is true for custom types.

By default, a task type is available when creating a new task in all activities. Simply remove specific activities from the menu to hide this type when creating a new task in those activities.
Filter by creation date
After several weeks or months of using Sentinel, you might be facing lots of tasks and projects to manage, order, and update.
The filter menu is a good way to dig down when searching for specific tasks. And to go even further, we added the creation date of a task as a new filtering option.

By activating this filter, you can choose to see your open tasks created “before”, “after”, or “on” a certain date.
Improve localization with trail names
When a network is made of numerous trails, it can be hard to identify precisely on which trail our GPS position is standing, and which trails are around us.
To improve visibility on the map, the names of the trails will now appear when zooming more closely on the main map, as well as when creating a new task.
