Sentinel 1.4.5
This new version brings two major updates: the ability to add time estimates to a task, and to access reports on the total hours completed on your tasks and on each trail.
This version also simplifies the user experience on multiple screens: adding images via the phone camera, filtering out projects, deleting a project, changing the map to a satellite mode.
Easier way to take pictures
When creating a new task, the app now directly opens your phone camera, removing unnecessary steps in the process where previously you had to choose between taking a picture or selecting from the gallery.
You can take multiple pictures at the same time before attaching them to the task.
The speed of this step has been increased.
Adding time estimates to a task
Being able to compare the time completed on a task with an estimation brings more maturity to project management.
When creating a task, an estimated number of hours can be entered in a specific field.
When a task is added to a project, the estimated time for this task is automatically included in the total estimated time of the project.
The completion % in time for a project is available along with the completion % in number of tasks. It is calculated as the total number of hours completed divided by the total number of hours estimated.
All this data is stored in your account history so that eventually you can export it and exploit it through your own tools and methods.
Individual reports on working hours
These reports give you access to your working hours per month, and can be filtered out by project, by type of task, or even by trail. This feature allows a user to track the number of hours they invested in a project, and to better understand how their work is distributed among the different tasks.
This data is private to each user and only reflects the completed hours of work for this particular user.
Switching to satellite mode
From the map of your trail network, you can now choose between the satellite mode and the standard mode by selecting the “Layer” icon.
The satellite mode can bring more precision when adding a new task by giving a more representative view of the terrain.
More options when deleting a project
When deleting a project, the app now offers you two different options to deal with the associated tasks. You can delete them as well, or save them and unlink them from the project.
Note: deleting a project and the associated tasks is irreversible. If you wish to save your data history, we recommend changing the status of the project and the tasks to “Done”.
Project and tasks “Done” filtered out by default
When all the tasks of a project are marked as “Done”, the project will be hidden by default in the list. Same goes for all the tasks marked as “Done”, both in the list and on the map.
To display these items, you can open the filter menu and select the status “Done”.
Advanced filters on projects
On top of the existing filter options for tasks, you can now filter projects by status, by creator, or by assignee. Whether you are looking for projects in progress or done, projects created by a particular person or those managed by another member, these filters can help you find the desired project.
